The Ethiopia Science and Technology Museum was the perfect venue for the recent developer festival organized by the GDG Addis team. Not only was the space spacious and well-equipped for hosting such an event, but it was also incredibly accessible for people with disabilities. As someone who uses a wheelchair, I was impressed to see that the building had ramps to make it easy for me to navigate. In addition, the restrooms were specifically designed for individuals with disabilities, with grab bars and ample space for maneuvering.

This level of accessibility is not something that is often seen in buildings in Ethiopia, and it was refreshing to see a venue that was inclusive and accommodating for all. It made me feel welcome and included, and allowed me to fully participate in the events and activities of the festival.
I would love to see more buildings like this in Ethiopia, as it would make it possible for more people with disabilities to participate in events and activities that they may have previously been excluded from. Accessibility is an important aspect of inclusion, and I hope that more organizations and institutions in the country will take steps to make their spaces accessible for all.
However, accessibility was not the only factor that contributed to the event's success. The workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities were all excellent, providing attendees with valuable insights and connections. The keynote speakers and panelists, who shared their extensive knowledge and experience in the field of technology, particularly impressed me.
Overall, I had a wonderful time at the GDG Addis developer festival, and I am grateful to the organizers for putting on such a fantastic event. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in technology and networking with other like-minded individuals. I hope to see more accessible buildings like the Ethiopia Science and Technology Museum in the future, as it truly made a difference in my experience at the event.
